The Branch Assistant supports the Branch Manager and Loan Originators with administrative tasks and the processing of loan products. They are responsible for managing loan pipelines, maintaining compliance with mortgage regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Position Overview:
Employee’s primary duties shall be to assist the Branch Manager with administrative and clerical tasks. Employee shall utilize his/her knowledge, training and experience to assist with the processing and closing of loan products on behalf of the Company’s customers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assists the Branch Manager and/or Loan Originator(s) in managing pipeline in a timely and efficient manner, while obtaining working knowledge of company products as well as private and government insured mortgage guidelines
- May schedule appointments with potential customers for the Branch Manager and/or Loan Originator(s)
- Interacts and interfaces, in a support capacity, with all parties involved in each individual loan transaction from application to closing
- Stays abreast of changes in rules and regulations pertaining to private and government insured mortgages.
- Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to understanding the limitations as an unlicensed loan originator assistant
- Provide exceptional ongoing support and customer service to leads, existing and past clients and partners
- Assists with general clerical/administrative duties as needed including but not limited to: answering phones, filing, preparing correspondence and memoranda, faxing, copying, and mailing
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- An ability to quickly assess and process large amounts of information and must be able to use designated technology
- Must continue to expand knowledge of issues influencing the industry and the organization
- Must be organized and detail-oriented and possess ability to prioritize workload based on loan volume
- Previous experience working in mortgage or banking related field
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
