Profile Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a senior bookkeeping role within a bookkeeping, accountancy, or tax firm
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate confidently with clients and colleagues
  • High proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or similar) and Excel
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities independently
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of junior team members

Core responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering end-to-end bookkeeping services across multiple industries
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with a high level of accuracy
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
  • Liaise directly with Spanish- and English-speaking clients, providing clear financial explanations and advice
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and firm procedures
  • Assist accountants and tax advisors with year-end accounts, BAS/VAT, and tax preparation
  • Review and mentor junior bookkeeping staff, providing technical guidance and quality control
  • Identify process improvements and support the implementation of efficient bookkeeping systems and software
