Job Description

As a Litigation Bodily Injury Adjuster, you’ll support complex and severe auto claims involving property damage, bodily injury, attorneys, and litigation. In this remote role, you’ll investigate coverage and liability, evaluate damages and risk, communicate with customers and attorneys, and negotiate fair injury settlements. You’ll use sound judgment, empathy, and Allstate’s claims tools to guide each claim through a fast, fair, and well-documented process while delivering a strong customer experience.

This role will be aligned to the Casualty 1800 office.

Qualifications

  • Prior represented or litigation third-party casualty claim handling experience
  • 3+  years of bodily injury claim handling experience
  • Moderate or complex bodily injury claim handling experience
  • Experience handling claims in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania
  • Experience using NextGen, Mitchell Decision Point, and Casualty Center preferred
  • Strong phone communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and assess claims accurately
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently
  • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and negotiate injury claims successfully
  • Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation

Work Location

  • This position is a remote home-based role. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States
  • This position is not available to residents of California, Washington, Alaska, or Hawaii

Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM EST/CST

Equipment

  • Candidate must have:
    • A dedicated workspace in your residence that is private and free from distractions
    • A minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up
    • Appropriate work surface and seating

  • Allstate provides:
    • A technology bundle that includes all equipment needed to perform your work from home, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse
    • Connectivity reimbursement of $80 per month to offset some of the cost of internet

Licensing Requirements

  • You may be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license as a condition of employment
  • If required, licensing may include an additional Department of Insurance background check and must be completed within 60 days of hire
  • If you currently hold an active insurance license, you must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments during employment
  • If you are seeking an adjuster role and hold a resident producer license, you must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team
  • The Hiring Manager and Centralized Licensing team will provide support if licensing is required. By proceeding with the application process, applicants acknowledge and agree to comply with these licensing requirements

  • Candidates with the active license(s) required for this role may be eligible for a $1,000 Licensing Sign-On Bonus
  • Eligible licenses may include a Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License
  • Current employees and candidates previously employed by Allstate or its family of companies are not eligible for this sign-on bonus

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 53,500.00 - 84,625.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
