Biology DP Teacher (online) - Substitute Position

SEK Global Campus is looking for a qualified IB Diploma Programme (DP) Biology Teacher for a maternity cover position starting on 22 February.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Biology within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, following the IB curriculum and subject guide.

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that support students’ academic progress and achievement.

• Supervise and guide students through their Internal Assessment (IA) projects, providing feedback in accordance with IB requirements.

• Prepare students for the May 2027 IB examinations, ensuring they develop the subject knowledge and skills required for success.

• Use digital tools and online teaching strategies to promote active learning, student engagement, and academic achievement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field.

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

• A minimum of five years’ experience teaching IB Diploma Programme Biology, preferably in an online environment.

• Strong proficiency in online teaching tools and digital learning platforms.

• Fluency in English (C1 level or above).

• Experience using digital tools and platforms such as ManageBac, Microsoft Teams, Kognity, and AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Gemini to enhance teaching and learning.

What We Offer:

• 100% online position.

• Flexible location, provided the candidate is within a time zone no more than 3–4 hours from Central European Time (CET).

• Working days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

• Working hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CET.

• Annual gross salary: €15,000.
