Bilingual Pediatric Medical Receptionist (ECW required) - OR

Little Miracles Pediatrics is seeking a bilingual Virtual Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant to provide professional, patient-focused front-desk support for a busy pediatric practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with eClinicalWorks (ECW), strong medical front-desk experience, and excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.

This position will be responsible for managing patient appointments, answering inbound calls, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, responding to emails, and supporting the practice with day-to-day administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments using eClinicalWorks (ECW).
• Answer and manage inbound patient phone calls professionally and efficiently.
• Provide friendly and professional communication with patients and families.
• Respond to patient emails and messages through the practice inbox.
• Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information and appointment records.
• Assist with general medical front-desk and administrative tasks as needed.
• Follow established practice procedures for scheduling, patient communication, and insurance verification.
• Handle a high volume of patient interactions while maintaining a positive and professional phone presence.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a patient-focused, bilingual healthcare professional who is comfortable speaking with parents and patients, managing a busy phone line, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling multiple administrative responsibilities throughout the day.

A warm and professional communication style is especially important, as this role involves frequent interaction with pediatric patients' families.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (ECW).
• Previous experience as a medical receptionist, front-desk coordinator, patient care coordinator, or medical virtual assistant.
• Experience handling inbound patient calls and appointment scheduling.
• Previous experience with insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident, professional, and friendly phone personality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work EST hours.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Portuguese language skills are a strong plus; English/Spanish/Portuguese would be ideal.
• Previous experience working in a pediatric practice or pediatric front-desk environment.
• Experience supporting U.S.-based healthcare practices.
• Familiarity with common healthcare administrative workflows and patient scheduling processes.
