The role involves conducting statutory Best Interests Assessments under the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards framework. You will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, producing legally robust reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure person-centred outcomes.
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Best Interests Assessors to support their Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Service in reducing assessment waiting times in Exeter, Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified BIAs who have practised within the last two months and are able to commit to a minimum of twelve assessments per month over a minimum six-month period.
The role is predominantly remote, offering flexibility whilst undertaking statutory Best Interests Assessments and producing high-quality reports. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, including the practical application of recent legal developments and case law. You will be responsible for undertaking complex assessments, analysing information from multiple sources, and producing legally robust reports capable of withstanding scrutiny in court proceedings where necessary.
