Profile Requirements:

• Min 2.5 year proven experience in a similar role and function.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages:
• Java / Kotlin
• Python
• Ruby
• TypeScript (Node.js)
• Experience with:
• REST APIs / GraphQL
• Database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB or similar)
• Experience of frontend/mobile integration:
• iOS (Swift / Objective-C)
• Android (Kotlin / Java)
• Familiarity with:
• HTML, CSS, SCSS (for full-stack collaboration where needed)
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong understanding of version control (Git)
• use of AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, Emergent and/or others

Core responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs supporting mobile applications
• Build and manage RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for iOS and Android apps
• Collaborate with mobile developers (Swift, Kotlin) to ensure seamless integration
• Optimise backend performance, scalability, and reliability
• Work with databases (SQL / NoSQL) and data modelling
• Implement secure authentication, authorisation, and data protection practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues across production and development environments
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
• Support deployment, CI/CD processes, and cloud infrastructure
