Azure Data Architect with Data Modeling- Insurance
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to design and implement enterprise-grade, end-to-end data architectures leveraging Azure-native services. The role will focus on building scalable, high-performance cloud data platforms, defining robust architectural standards, and translating business requirements into reliable, secure, and cost-optimized data solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Azure data services along with domain experience in Insurance (P&C preferred).
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end data architectures using Azure-native services.
Architect scalable data platforms supporting ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and analytics workloads.
Develop insurance-specific data models aligned with business KPIs and reporting needs.
Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Establish and enforce data governance, architectural standards, and best practices.
Apply distributed data processing principles to large-scale data environments.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to translate requirements into maintainable and scalable data solutions.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with:
Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
Databricks
Data Modeling
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Azure Synapse Analytics
Azure SQL
Expertise in data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration frameworks.
Experience building Insurance-specific data models (P&C preferred).
Proven ability to design and optimize enterprise-scale data pipelines.
Experience implementing data governance frameworks and architectural best practices.
Strong understanding of distributed data processing concepts.
Excellent collaboration skills across business and engineering teams.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
Experience defining standards for Databricks workloads and Spark-based pipelines.
Prior experience delivering Insurance P&C cloud-based data and analytics initiatives.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
