Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Audit & Accounts Senior who is a fully qualified CA(SA) to join our team in a 100% remote capacity.
This role is ideally suited to a recently qualified CA(SA) or someone with up to two years' post-qualified experience who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day delivery of audit and accounts work. You'll be confident managing assignments from planning through to completion (with support where required), while working closely with managers and partners on a varied portfolio of UK clients.
We're looking for someone with broad audit and accounts experience who enjoys working across all stages of an engagement and is keen to continue developing their technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit:
Manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, with support where required.
Prepare audit working papers in line with ISA requirements.
Identify audit risks and perform appropriate audit procedures.
Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance and support.
Draft audit findings, management letters, and audit reports.
Liaise directly with clients via video calls, email, and shared platforms to resolve queries.
Accounts & Reporting:
Prepare and review statutory financial statements (FRS 102).
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act and relevant accounting standards.
Review trial balances, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Assist with group consolidations where required.
Support year-end and periodic reporting deadlines.
Client & Team Interaction:
Act as a key day-to-day contact for clients throughout engagements.
Manage your own workload and deliver assignments within agreed deadlines.
Support junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Contribute to continuous improvements in audit and reporting processes.
Assist managers and partners with ad hoc technical and advisory work.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) – CA(SA) (essential).
Completed SAICA articles.
Recently qualified or up to two years' post-qualified experience preferred.
Experience managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting.
Broad exposure to audit and accounts preparation across a variety of clients.
Experience gained within a small or mid-tier accounting practice will be highly advantageous.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and professional judgement.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team.
