About the Role
As an Associate Tech Lead, QA, you will take end-to-end ownership of quality for one or more products or modules, with a primary focus on manual testing and strong involvement in test strategy, planning, execution, and stakeholder communication. You will be expected to independently run QA for your area—from understanding requirements and designing test approaches, to executing tests, coordinating with global engineering teams, and providing clear, timely updates to management.
This is a highly visible role where you will directly influence release quality and confidence for a platform used by some of the world’s largest companies. The role is based in India (remote), with a primary location of Chennai, India (Remote). You will also partner closely with automation engineers, bringing working knowledge of UI and API automation to keep regression suites effective and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end QA for one or more modules/projects, from understanding requirements and defining test strategy through to final sign-off on release readiness.
Design, review, and execute high-quality manual tests (functional, integration, regression, exploratory) to ensure releases are stable and user-ready.
Identify high-value areas for automation and partner with automation engineers to keep UI and API regression suites effective and current.
When required, contribute to and extend existing automated tests at UI and API layers using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
Plan and track test activities, maintain test plans and reports, and provide clear, regular updates on progress, risks, and release readiness to management.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and support teams on grooming, sprint planning, issue triage, and root cause analysis.
Guide and mentor junior QA engineers on test design, execution best practices, and basic automation concepts.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) for test data setup and validation.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to clearly articulate status, risks, and technical details to both engineering and management stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
