GovCIO is hiring an Associate Product Manager to support products within a government contract, working alongside senior Product/Program Managers. Responsibilities span project planning, stakeholder communication, risk and scope management, quality control, and documentation. Ideal candidates are self-directed, trustworthy, and familiar with core product management principles. This is a fully remote position.
ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Product Manager will manage and oversee portions of products within the CCIN contract/AAD Task Order, working alongside seasoned Product/Program Managers to support their own continued professional development.
What You'll Do
- Project Planning & Execution: Help develop project plans, define scope and objectives, build timelines, and monitor progress — flagging delays and taking corrective action to keep work on track.
- Risk, Scope & Quality Management: Partner with a Product Manager to identify risks, manage scope through a structured change control process, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards through regular review.
- Stakeholder Communication: Keep team members, stakeholders, and clients informed and aligned, manage expectations, and provide regular progress updates and reporting.
- Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Address challenges as they arise and make timely, well-informed decisions within project constraints.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date project records, including plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Customer Focus & Continuous Improvement: Ensure the product delivers value to customers, stay adaptable as requirements evolve, and apply lessons learned to improve future work.

QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience

- Foundational understanding of product management principles, tools, and practices
- Strong organizational skills, including task planning, documentation, and timeline tracking
- Effective communication skills for engaging team members, stakeholders, and clients
- Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and support timely decision-making
- Experience maintaining accurate project documentation (plans, status reports, meeting minutes)
- Proven reliability and trustworthiness, with consistent follow-through on commitments
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and project conditions
- Basic understanding of risk, scope, and quality management concepts
Clearance Required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance
