Job Purpose
The Associate Process Improvement Consultant will work as a part of a team responsible for the implementation of Med-Metrix’s Suite of Revenue Cycle Technology including, but not limited to, Hospital and Professional Fee Front End Patient Access Workflow, Patient Accounting Workflow, Denials Workflow, and Liability Estimator. Strong candidates have an understanding of software implementations and can support the project team during all phases of the implementation including the planning, design, configuration, user acceptance testing, training, delivery, and monitoring of our AnalytX Technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in client assessment meetings to ascertain existing workflow processes and collaborates with a team of Process Improvement Consultants to develop best practice design documentation in Visio using the Med-Metrix AnalytX Suite of Revenue Cycle Technology
- Participate in the rollout of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Machine Learning integration add-ons to existing AnalytX Workflow projects at both the Hospital and Professional Account Receivable Services resulting in improved productivity and efficiencies for the Med-Metrix Teams
- Ability to work with large data sets to identify potential improvement opportunities and present data to support these recommendations to the Med-Metrix project team.
- Responsible for the translation of Visio documentation to pseudocode (IF this THEN that…) intended for the Development and QA Teams.
- Diagnose application bugs and gather supporting technical documentation of issues working directly with the MMX Development and QA Teams to ensure all rules and actions are programmed to match processes outlined by the client during design.
- Lead clients in User Acceptance Testing, organize client signoff progress through various reporting mechanisms, and prepare the customer Super User group to train customer End Users to prepare for Go Live.
- Escalate and communicate priorities, successes, and project risks to Project Management, Leadership.

- Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
- Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times
- Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and 1+ year experience working in software implementation setting
- Application System Configuration & Testing experience, direct interaction with Development or IT teams is preferred
- Strong business writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to drill down to the key points in a complex problem and clearly articulate the next steps
- Must have strong critical thinking skills and be able to assess problem situations, identify root causes, gather and process relevant information, and generate possible solutions by making recommendations
- Ability to work well individually and in a rapidly changing environment
- High Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and Visio

Working Conditions
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and/or outside of the normal work schedule when needed
- Travel to client sites may be required up to 50%
- Must possess a smart-phone or electronic device capable of downloading applications, for multifactor authentication and security purposes.
