Description

The Associate Portfolio Manager plays a key role in supporting the success of our educational solutions in the higher education market. Serving as a Voice of the Customer (VOC), you’ll help ensure our classroom solutions align with the evolving needs of educators and students. You’ll gather and translate customer insights, analyze market trends, and collaborate across teams to help shape offerings that are relevant, effective, and responsive to the market.

Operating States: This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in one of Stukent’s approved operating states to be considered for employment. Our hiring states for this position are Idaho, Utah, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. 


Typical Job Duties

 

Market & Customer Insights

  • Conduct research and analysis of the higher education market to identify emerging trends, customer needs, market gaps, and competitive offerings.
  • Support the Portfolio Director in gathering and synthesizing feedback from educators and other stakeholders to inform product enhancements and new solutions.
  • Analyze customer feedback, market data, and other relevant information to identify themes and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Help represent the Voice of the Customer (VOC) by translating customer needs and feedback into meaningful insights for internal teams.

Product Support & Collaboration

  • Partner with product development and content teams to help ensure products and solutions align with the needs of educators and students.
  • Support product-market fit efforts by gathering, organizing, and analyzing relevant customer and market data.
  • Assist in preparing research, materials, and recommendations to support product development and portfolio decisions.

Strategic & Cross-Functional Contribution

  • Contribute to go-to-market efforts by providing Sales and Marketing with relevant market insights, customer perspectives, product information, and supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Customer Success, Customer Support, Sales, and other cross-functional partners to gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve product success.
  • Provide research, data, and insights to support portfolio planning, prioritization, and overall strategy.
  • Monitor market and customer developments and communicate relevant findings to the Portfolio Director and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of higher education curriculum, instructional practices, and classroom environments.
  • Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills,  with the ability to synthesize information and identify meaningful insights. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,   with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and functions. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting  educators and students.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in education or ed-tech
  • Experience in product development
