The Associate Outsourcing Manager is responsible for the generation, negotiation, and execution of clinical trial contracts and ancillary vendor agreements. They will manage vendor relationships, ensure budget compliance, and oversee contractual processes throughout the clinical development lifecycle.

As a Associate Outsourcing Manager at ICON, You will support and work closely with a Senior Outsourcing Manager to meet the contracting needs of clinical development programs. This individual will be responsible for the generation, negotiation and execution of select clinical trial contracts. The individual will ensure that the contract terms and budget meet the needs of the clinical trial
What You Will Do:
Key responsibilities include:
Responsible for confirming confidentiality agreements are executed as required.
Responsible for the contract negotiation and execution for select ancillary vendors supporting a clinical trial.
Act as the contact with the ancillary vendors for negotiation of the scope of work, study assumptions and budgets.
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in the review and management of contractual, financial, budget and invoicing-related items.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, adapt strategies, and make well-informed independent decisions.
Above average understanding of vendor budgets, payment structures, cost analyses, budget reconciliation, and invoicing processes.
Experienced in managing vendor and cross-functional, internal stakeholder relationships, including effective collaboration.
Ability to follow, improve, and maintain operational and contractual processes.
Solid foundational knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including GCP, GDPR, data privacy, and industry-standard contractual provisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to manage engagements end-to-end, from strategy and contract execution through issue resolution and post-contractual oversight.
Your Profile:
Required qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree is required
Life sciences or business experience is preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical development including clinical trial budget development experience
Negotiation, organizational and communication skills are required.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
