The Associate Director, Managed Testing Services (MTS) owns the strategic direction, governance, and end-to-end operational management of all testing services across Regeneron. This role leads a team of testing consultants distributed across the United States, Canada, and India, and ensures that information systems are delivered in accordance with organizational policies governing quality, risk, performance, and compliance, while adhering to industry-specific regulations including GxP requirements.
A critical component of this role is the establishment and operationalization of a new offshore Global Capability Center (GCC) in India, designed to scale testing capacity, drive cost efficiencies, and build a sustainable global delivery model for Regeneron’s testing services.
A typical day in this role might look like:
Define and implement the enterprise MTS roadmap aligned to IT and business objectives.
Establish and implement testing standards, frameworks, and procedures across the SDLC.
Drive continuous improvement via automation, AI/ML- based testing, and shift-left methodologies.
Serve as the senior testing authority to ensure adherence to company's standards and GxP requirements.
Provide strategic mentorship on IT quality and testing optimization to senior leadership.
Own and lead all MSP relationships, ensuring contractual obligations, Statements of Work, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and improved.
Continuously assess provider testing and QA capabilities, driving remediation and performance improvements.
Lead all aspects of performance reporting, SLA compliance, and development of new SLAs/metrics as services mature.
Act as the primary liaison with service providers for all MTS matters, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
Negotiate contracts, pricing models, and resource allocation to optimize value; plan and forecast service consumption, quality of service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Provide front-line leadership to service provider staff and develop an integrated, high-performing team.
Lead planning, establishment, and operationalization of an offshore GCC as a scalable testing hub.
Define the GCC operating model, including organizational structure, staffing, governance, and knowledge transfer.
Implement a phased transition of appropriate testing workloads while maintaining quality and continuity.
Build and mentor the GCC leadership team and instill an environment of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Is responsible for enterprise testing operations: functional, regression, integration, performance/load, API, and UAT.
Ensure high service availability and efficiency aligned with industry benchmarks and enterprise goals.
Implement and govern test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Tosca) and AI/ML-based tools to increase coverage and reduce cycle times.
Ensure GxP-regulated systems follow FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines, including CSV requirements.
Engineer, maintain, and govern all test assets: test cases, test scripts, test plans, test data, and test reports.
Handle internal client relationships on testing matters, including test case creation/validation and engagement of business end users.
Acts as the primary communicator to business and IT partners for all MTS topics, ensuring visibility and alignment.
Provide regular executive reporting on testing performance, risk posture, quality metrics, and service provider health.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with application development, infrastructure, security, compliance, and business units.
Present ideas, strategies, and results in business-friendly terms to audiences from technical teams to senior executives.
This role might be for you if you have:
Deep expertise in software testing across the full SDLC (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) with strong automation skills in Selenium, UFT/QTP, Tosca; performance/load tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling); and API testing (Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI).
Working knowledge of AI/ML in testing (intelligent test generation, predictive analytics, self-healing automation) and a validated foundation in application architecture, deployment, and maintenance.
Experience in GxP environments and CSV within pharmaceutical/life sciences.
Validated MSP management in outsourced IT, with formal outsourcing methodologies, governance, contract oversight, and compliance execution.
Direct experience establishing or scaling an offshore GCC (preferably India) and leading globally distributed teams using global standards.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills with exceptional written and oral communication.
Skilled in assessing customer needs, crafting solutions, and driving decisions; well-versed in root cause analysis and problem resolution.
IT strategy and testing optimization experience with a strong customer service orientation to handle complex partner teams' ecosystems.
In order to be considered for this position, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 12 years of incremental experience in IT testing, QA, and/or Managed Testing Services, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management capacity. A Master’s degree in a relevant field, experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipeline integration for testing, knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, and prior experience leading large-scale testing transformations or TCoE initiatives are preferred.
