Job Description:

Amplify is seeking a strategic, empathetic, and experienced professional development leader to join our Customer Success and Development team as the Associate Director, Professional Development Delivery.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will lead a regionalized professional development team and ensure that district and school partners receive high-quality, coherent, and impactful professional learning that supports successful implementation of Amplify’s core, supplemental, and assessment programs. You will directly manage and develop PD Strategists and Lead PLS, and partner closely with Professional Learning Specialists, coaches, regional leadership, Customer Success, Sales, Operations, Product, and Content teams.

You will translate organizational and regional priorities into clear operating plans, strengthen delivery consistency, support complex customer implementations, and build the capacity of your team and district partners. As a senior customer-facing leader, you will provide strategic thought partnership to district leaders, intervene in high-risk situations, and advocate for solutions that deepen customer trust, educator impact, and long-term implementation success.

This role requires strong knowledge of professional learning and instructional practice, executive presence, sound operational judgment, and the ability to lead through complexity and change. Experience in STEM content is valuable, as well as flexibility to work across content areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Team Management

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture centered on customer impact, accountability, and excellence.

  • Turn company and regional goals into clear plans, ownership, and success metrics.

  • Track performance, capacity, and commitments, adjusting and escalating risks as needed.

  • Equip PD Strategists with the tools and guidance to deliver effective strategies.

  • Partner with regional leaders on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and talent development.

  • Model Amplify’s values and DEI commitment across team leadership and partnerships.

Professional Development Strategy and Delivery

  • Lead multi-year, district-wide PD strategies aligned to customer goals and product adoption.

  • Establish delivery standards to ensure consistent, high-quality experiences across accounts.

  • Oversee execution of complex PD engagements, including scoping, staffing, logistics, and budgeting.

  • Support strategists, PLS, and coaches in advising district leaders and preparing for delivery.

  • Attend key engagements to assess implementation and inform team-wide improvements.

Customer Partnership and Escalation Management

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for key accounts and support executive conversations.

  • Partner with CSMs and Sales to align PD strategies with account goals and outcomes.

  • Provide interventional support and recovery plans for high-risk implementations.

  • Build trusted relationships with district leaders and advocate internally for customer needs.

Partnerships and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams—including CS, Sales, Product, and Content—to deliver superior PD.

  • Support pre-sales proposals, solution design, and customer presentations.

  • Share best practices across regions and provide product feedback to improve learning materials.

Delivery Operations, Data, and Continuous Improvement

  • Establish operational rhythms for account planning, tracking, and risk review.

  • Use customer feedback and delivery metrics to improve practices and prioritize support.

  • Oversee operational duties including timecard/expense approvals, capacity planning, and efficiency.

Flexible Leadership and Management Support

  • Provide flexible leadership across PD and CS as business needs require.

  • Partner with regional leaders on escalations, team health, and regional priorities.

  • Lead ad hoc initiatives and ensure continuity during organizational transitions or capacity constraints.

Personal Attributes

  • Resilient: Thrives in high-pressure environments, maintaining focus and composure under stress.

  • Growth Mindset: Open-minded, receptive to feedback, and committed to continuous self-development.

  • Professional: Displays humility, professionalism, and confidence in interactions with team members and key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years in K–12 education, professional development, instructional leadership, curriculum, or customer success.

  • Experience designing, delivering, or overseeing PD and supporting practice adoption.

  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing teams.

  • Experience managing large educational projects, including planning, budgeting, resourcing, and meeting deadlines.

  • Strong knowledge of instruction, adult learning, and change management; STEM background is valuable.

  • Proven ability to partner with district/school leaders and communicate across stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

  • Ability to travel regionally and nationally (averaging 10–20% annually, or as needed) per company policy.

Preferred Qualifications:
