How You Will Achieve More:

The Associate Director of Medical Communications & Congresses will lead the strategic development and execution of Intellia's Medical Affairs Congress Plan, overseeing cross-functional congress planning teams to deliver high-impact global, national, and regional congress activities aligned with Medical Affairs objectives. This role drives medical education initiatives, shapes congress strategies in partnership with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically develop and lead the implementation of the Medical Affairs Congress Plan for Intellia’s programs, ensuring robust strategic planning and execution in alignment with global Medical Affairs objectives and initiatives
  • Maintain and execute the Integrated Congress Plan for Intellia’s programs while leading program specific Congress Planning teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of all congress activities
  • Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of global, national, and regional congress activities for Medical Affairs, partnering closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to define congress requirements, develop tactical and logistical plans, coordinate planning, lead pre‑con meetings and support post-conference summaries
  • Lead the development of medical education initiatives for scientific congresses to fill external educational gaps including driving company-sponsored symposia and medical congress booths and tabletops in collaboration with the medical communications leads and vendors
  • Build effective partnerships with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Development, Legal, and Regulatory to shape congress strategies that reflect program priorities, leveraging therapeutic area expertise to provide high impact, actionable congress planning guidance
  • Partner with the Field Medical team to support content development for use at local congresses
  • Ensure medical accuracy of accountable materials and appropriate review/approval leading materials through the Medical/Legal/Regulatory review process
  • Provide medical communications and booth vendor oversight and project management, including budget management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as industry guidelines and Intellia policies

  • Willingness to travel (role anticipated to have about ~15-20% travel component)
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced scientific or doctoral degree in a scientific discipline strongly preferred (MS, PhD, PharmD)
  • 3-5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, Medical Education, or Congress Strategy
  • Ability to sit or stand for multiple hours at a computer
  • Manual dexterity for keyboarding; may include repetitive movements

The base salary for this position is expected to range between $190,248.00 - $232,526.00 USD per year.

The salary offered is determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant education and training, overall related experience, specialized, rare or in-demand skill sets, internal comparators and other business needs. Upon joining Intellia, your salary will be reviewed periodically and additional factors such as time in role and performance will be considered. Intellia may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

Additional compensation includes a performance-based annual cash bonus, a new hire equity grant, and eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards the value of which are determined annually at the Company’s discretion.
