Associate Director – Clinical Education, Position Summary

The Associate Director is a key player in the success of EIM’s University Partner (UP) business. EIM has established nationwide partnerships for collaborative clinical education experiences across multiple healthcare professions. The ideal candidate will help foster “lifelong learners” through our cutting-edge clinical education operations.  The Associate Director of Clinical Placement will be responsible for leading a team of Placement Managers who are responsible for on-time placement in a variety of clinical experiences. The Associate Director will ensure that all partner and internal stakeholders are aware of the status and progress of the prospective student placement pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in clinical placement management, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

Starting Pay $95,000

 

Duties and Responsibilities: (Include but are not limited to the following)

 

  • Direct, coach, and develop Clinical Education Managers to drive optimal clinical site procurement and student placement results while shaping a culture of resilience, solution-oriented thinking, and accountability.
  • Design and implement strategic clinical site procurement and student placement plans that align with the accreditation and clinical education lifecycles of higher education healthcare program curricula.
  • Provide direction and oversight for KPIs, partner engagement, and processes, ensuring operational consistency and high-quality execution.
  • Evaluate performance for each program under management and implement strategy and improvement plans when goals are not met.
  • Analyze data and forecast enrollment placement to plan targeted strategies that continuously improve processes and strengthen results.
  • Ensure systems and workflows are designed and maintained to support accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all technology platforms and application data.
  • Influence decisions with clear data insights and recommendations.
  • Authorize and oversee monthly partner presentations, ensuring high-quality reporting, clarity of insights, and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with university faculty, leadership, clinical sites and stakeholders to strengthen partnership effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with enrollment and academic teams and other departments to align messaging, enhance student experience, and drive execution of integrated placement and procurement strategies.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of partner onboarding sessions, designing strategic launch plans for new or updated placement cycles.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to shape policies and recommend enhancements that maintain competitive advantage.
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as necessary.

Qualifications

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5+ years of experience in relevant field

 

Key Qualifications

 

Required:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in the Higher Education, Sales and/or Healthcare industry strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience directly managing employees, with a focus on delivering results and professional development
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
  • Experience using Salesforce, Student Information Systems or Clinical Education Management systems
  • Demonstrated successful leadership in people operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a diversified work environment with varying levels of ambiguity
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects, establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and key external relationships
  • Track record of working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously
