The Associate Data Engineer plays a key role in delivering actionable business insights through analytics, dashboards, and foundational data engineering practices. This entry-level position focuses on building and supporting data pipelines, developing dashboards, and translating business requirements into meaningful data solutions. What You’ll Do
Data Analytics & Visualization
Design and develop KPIs, metrics, and dashboards using tools such as Power BI
Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful business intelligence to stakeholders
Data Engineering & Pipeline Support
Assist in building backend data processes using established data warehouse modeling techniques (e.g., Kimball)
Support the development of simple ETL pipelines and data transformations
Contribute to data mart creation and reporting structures
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data solutions
Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Support decision-making through data-driven insights
Team Contribution & Continuous Improvement
Support team initiatives to deliver consistent, high-quality business intelligence
Work within Agile frameworks to contribute to sprint deliverables
Continuously learn and adopt modern data technologies and best practices
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
Experience
2 years of experience in data analytics, ETL, or data warehousing
Hands-on experience with Power BI) preferred
Core Capabilities
Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Python
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights effectively
Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies (Kimball)
Familiarity with BI/DW lifecycle processes (ETL, data marts, reporting, analytics)
Exposure to Python and Azure Fabric highly preferred
Experience with Agile methodology preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $74,000 - $90,000, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.
Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
