The Associate AI Engineer will direct AI agents to build, configure, and troubleshoot software systems while translating business needs into clear, measurable tasks. They are responsible for coordinating agent workflows, validating outcomes against requirements, and maintaining documentation to ensure successful, repeatable processes.
About the Role
We’re looking for an early-career problem solver to help build and operate production systems using AI agents.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be directing AI tools toward useful, reliable results. You’ll translate business needs into clear instructions, give agents the context and access they need, coordinate their work, and evaluate whether the outcome meets the requirements.
Your day will center on shaping tasks, guiding execution, investigating failures, and validating results. You’ll develop enough technical understanding to challenge the AI’s work, recognize risks, and know when to bring in an experienced engineer.
You’ll work closely with an engineering lead and gradually take ownership of more complex agent-driven workflows. Prior professional experience with AI orchestration is not required.

What You’ll Learn
You’ll receive hands-on mentorship in AI orchestration, system design fundamentals, production validation, and operational troubleshooting.
You’ll learn how to scope agent tasks, manage context, evaluate outputs, control permissions, and build workflows with appropriate human review. Production access and release responsibility will expand as you demonstrate readiness.
What Success Looks Like
Success means delivering working outcomes with evidence that they meet the requirements. You can explain what was requested, how you directed the work, how you checked the result, and what remains uncertain.
As you grow, you’ll independently coordinate bounded projects while escalating decisions that need additional engineering or business judgment.
