What You’ll Do
Purpose: Drive the successful technical implementation of Omnicell solutions by configuring systems, validating integrations, and ensuring high-quality delivery for customers.
As an Application Engineer, you will:
Primary Impact: Ensure seamless system implementations by delivering high-quality interface configurations, database builds, and best practice solutions that enable customer success.
- Execute interface configuration and testing – Lead interface mapping, validation, and testing activities to ensure all integrations function accurately and meet project requirements
- Build and deploy databases – Prepare, import, configure, and deploy databases to support system functionality and customer workflows
- Apply best practice configurations – Implement standardized system configurations that optimize performance and align with proven operational models
- Identify and mitigate risks – Proactively assess technical risks and escalate issues to the project lead to ensure on-time and successful project delivery
- Collaborate on project execution – Partner closely with project leads and cross-functional teams to deliver on implementation plans, particularly for interface and database components
- Provide project visibility – Deliver timely updates on technical progress, risks, and milestones to support strong project governance
- Support troubleshooting and resolution – Diagnose and resolve technical issues to maintain system integrity and customer satisfaction
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or 1+ year experience in related field
- 1+ years of experience demonstrated in database build/configuration, or technical implementation experience
- Excellent customer verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Healthcare, or a related field
- Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or clinical operations environments
- Exposure to interface configuration, system integrations, or healthcare IT systems
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional technical teams
