We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our team, focusing on data and AI projects within the insurance and reinsurance sectors. In this role, you will work closely with clients to analyze business needs, design data structures, and build production ready data and generative AI workflows. You will operate with a high degree of ownership, translating client requirements into technical work packages and managing your own delivery. This role offers the flexibility of remote work with occasional client interaction, making strong self motivation and independent problem solving essential. You will take responsibility for your work packages and support junior developers on the project team.

This role is open across Germany. We are looking for suitable profiles nationwide. 

Thanks to our flexible working models and project-based setup, you can be based anywhere in Germany. Travel requirements depend on client needs and project phases, not on proximity to a specific office location. 


 

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient data solutions using industry best practices andcutting-edgetechnologies, notably Palantir Foundry and Palantir AIP
• Designing and implementing data and AI solutions, primarily using Palantir Foundry, including AIP, AI FDE, Workshop, and Ontology Manager
• Owning the delivery of technical work packages for reinsurance and insurance projects, from requirement gathering to deployment
• Interacting with clients to scope out workflows, act as a consultant, and translate business needs into technical designs
• Architecting data models and pipelines using technologies like Spark, Python, and TypeScript
• Mentoring junior team members on projects, helping to guide their technical development and project tasks
• Evaluating the broader impact of code and system changes to ensure stable integrations within the client environment

• You have a minimum of 5 years work experience delivering technology projects within start-ups, financial institutions or enterprise firms
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Actuarial Sciences, Engineering, or quantitative field
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders as well as translating business requirements into technical packages
• You have a deep understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and practical experience writing code in Python and TypeScript
• You have hands on experience with AI and LLMs, including an understanding of practical limits like context windows and rate limits
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically about complex technical challenges.
• You are comfortable taking ownership of your work, making decisions, and working independently in a remote environment
• You have strong product intuition and understanding of product management practices

 
Great to have:  

• Experience or interest working with Palantir Foundry (especially AIP, AI FDE, Workshop, and Ontology Manager)
• Experience with Spark and big data technologies
• Experience or knowledge in the insurance or reinsurance industry
• You actively experiment or work with LLMs and libraries like LangChain, LangGraph
• Working knowledge of Agile software delivery frameworks
• Experience in client facing integration, implementation engineering, or solution architecture roles within B2B software product companies
• You have experience leading or working on projects across teams and regions mentoring or guiding junior developers on technical tasks.
