About the Role:

ASC Boston Inc is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable AMC Tutor to help students excel in one of the most prestigious math competitions in the country. In this role, you'll inspire and challenge students to sharpen their problem-solving skills and reach their full mathematical potential. Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, structured tutoring sessions focused on AMC 8, AMC 10, and AMC 12 competition content
Develop and customize lesson plans targeting key AMC topics such as algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics
Assess individual student strengths and weaknesses to tailor instruction accordingly
Guide students through practice problems, past AMC exams, and competition strategies
Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
Foster a positive, growth-oriented learning environment that builds student confidence
Stay current with AMC competition formats, problem trends, and scoring guidelines

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in AMC-level mathematics, including algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics
Prior experience with AMC competitions, either as a competitor or instructor, strongly preferred
Excellent communication and teaching skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Experience tutoring or teaching K-12 students in a math-focused setting
Patient, encouraging, and able to motivate students of varying skill levels
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field preferred
Reliable, punctual, and professional in all student and parent interactions
