About Us
Mint Source is a remote-first bridge that connects vibrant talent with international clients and agencies, enabling skilled individuals to showcase their expertise on a global stage.
Role Overview
Mint Source is recruiting an AI Video Creator & Editor to join a London-based DTC skincare and haircare brand that sells botanical body oils, shower oils and hair growth kits directly to a customer base of 500,000+ worldwide. You will own an ad from generation to launch: building UGC-style talking-head clips, product scenes and b-roll in Higgsfield from the scripts and briefs the Creative Strategists send you, then cutting that footage, together with any raw footage, UGC and product assets, into launch-ready Meta and TikTok ads. You will report to the Paid Social Manager and work closely with the Creative Strategists and the wider creative team. Success looks like a reliable weekly output of on-brief, ready-to-launch ads with minimal revisions, and a growing share of them hitting the team's winner benchmark. This seat completes a new ten-person video team, and it is the role for people who generate and edit to the same standard rather than specialising in one half. It is a fully remote seat, open to candidates anywhere, on the same UK hours as the rest of the team.
What You'll Do
- Generate AI video assets for Meta and TikTok ads in Higgsfield: UGC-style talking-head clips, product scenes, b-roll and full concept videos.
- Write, test and refine prompts, reference images and settings until the output matches the brief and the brand, and keep a library of prompts and workflows that work.
- Edit high-volume, direct-response video ads, turning your generated footage plus approved scripts, raw footage, UGC and product assets into scroll-stopping, launch-ready creatives.
- Build strong first 1 to 3 second hooks, fast pacing, clear visual hierarchy, subtitles, pattern interrupts, product demonstration and compelling offer and CTA moments into every asset.
- Produce multiple variations of winning concepts, with new hooks, scenes, characters, openings, pacing and visual treatments, so the team can test, learn and scale what performs.
- Keep characters, products and the brand look consistent across everything you generate, and quality-check every asset: no warped hands or labels, readable text, believable motion, the real product looking like itself, and nothing that could pass as a real customer testimonial without the label the platform or the brand requires.
- Add motion graphics in After Effects or an equivalent tool.
- Work closely with Creative Strategists to execute briefs accurately, iterate quickly on feedback and ad-performance learnings, and contribute angles, hooks and formats that suit AI generation.
- Keep assets, project files and feedback organised in Google Drive and Frame.io (or similar) so work is easy to find, review and reuse.
- Stay current as the models change, test new tools and features, and bring what works to the team.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 3 years in creative or video production, including e-commerce or direct-response paid-social editing, with a portfolio that shows both halves: ads made for conversion that you edited yourself, and AI-generated videos you made yourself and can walk us through clip by clip, including the tools, references, settings and how many generations it took.
- Hands-on experience generating AI video in Higgsfield, Veo, Kling, Sora, Runway or similar, with strong prompting instincts: you iterate quickly, know each model's strengths and failure modes, and can hit a brief. The team works in Higgsfield and you will be given access, so you do not need your own subscription.
- Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro (or CapCut), plus After Effects or equivalent motion-graphics capability. Comfortable using Google Drive and Frame.io (or similar) for organised asset management, collaboration and feedback.
- Hook-first, direct-response editing know-how for Meta and TikTok: rapid pacing, subtitles, pattern interrupts, visual proof and product demonstration, clear offers and CTAs, and the habit of building multiple testable variations from each concept.
- An eye for what makes an ad work and for the difference between an AI clip that reads as real and one that reads as fake.
- High output without the quality dropping, fast on feedback and sharp under pressure, with strong attention to detail throughout. Creativity and problem-solving as your defining strengths, with a thoughtful and methodical way of working.
- Strong written and spoken English, dependable and proactive communication, and the ability to work closely with a remote creative team.
- This is a full-time, exclusive role: no other clients or freelance work alongside it.
- Bonus points for: AI image tools (Nano Banana, Midjourney, Flux) for keyframes and storyboards; AI voice tools such as ElevenLabs for UGC-style voiceover; a portfolio with demonstrable winning or scaled ads and the ability to explain the decisions behind them; experience in beauty, skincare, wellness, fashion or other visually driven DTC categories; and strong motion design, compositing, 3D, VFX or sound-design skills that elevate ads without making them feel overproduced.
Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Quality-adjusted creative output: a steady daily flow of finished ads and variants, generated and edited by you, on brief and ready to launch, with minimal avoidable revisions.
- Hook and thumb-stop rate: the share of viewers still watching after the first three seconds on your ads, measured alongside the Strategist.
- Creative win rate: the percentage of launched ads that meet the team's "winner" benchmark. You are accountable for execution quality and the volume of testable variations; performance is a shared outcome, not solely yours.
- Speed and reliability: meet agreed turnaround times, communicate blockers early and complete revision rounds quickly, with no missed deadlines, poor file organisation or quality drop-offs.
- 30/60/90-day ramp: by day 30, you know the brand, creative standards, the team's approved AI workflows, editing workflow, asset library and feedback process, and deliver initial ads and variations reliably; by day 60, you work independently across briefs with consistent turnaround, low revision rates and a growing prompt and workflow library, producing variations at volume rather than one-offs and bringing angles and references to the Strategist; by day 90, you operate at full agreed output as a trusted end-to-end creator, with a measurable share of your work contributing to winning or scalable tests and a repeatable process the rest of the team can use.
What You Get
- Competitive compensation discussed individually based on experience and location.
- A fully remote role on UK hours with a London-based brand that ships worldwide.
- Regular, structured meetings with the creative team and regularly scheduled feedback check-ins around your output.
- Access to the team's AI tooling and approved workflows, with room to grow your generation and editing skills on real campaigns.
- A seat on a new ten-person video team inside a brand that tests creative at volume, with room to grow as the models do.
