We're seeking an Associate AI Designer to join our rapidly growing tech startup. You'll troubleshoot and optimize AI agents that serve clients across multiple industries, learning to diagnose conversation issues, refine prompts, and implement solutions that improve agent performance.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot AI agent conversations by reviewing conversations, diagnosing issues, and implementing fixes
• Write and refine prompts that guide AI agents to deliver accurate, helpful responses aligned with client objectives
• Write and refine prompts that analyze user responses to deliver accurate evaluations of what is currently happening in the conversation
• Test and iterate on solutions, experimenting with different prompt structures, tool schemas, LLM parameters, and agent configurations
• Analyze conversation patterns to identify common failure modes and proactively improve agent reliability
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement fixes and document troubleshooting workflows
• Grow from handling simple prompt adjustments to architecting complex multi-component solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Quick learner who loves diving into new technologies and concepts with genuine intellectual curiosity
• Strong analytical thinker who excels at systematic problem-solving and debugging complex issues
• Natural systems thinker who can see how individual components connect to create larger workflows
• Detail-oriented with the ability to spot subtle patterns and inconsistencies in conversation flows
• Excellent written communication skills—ideally writing is a hobby or passion (many successful AI Designers come from writing backgrounds)
• Familiar with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and have experimented with improving your own prompts
• Comfortable learning technical tools and workflows (coding experience helpful but not required)
• Some customer-facing or sales experience (even retail or service roles) is a plus

Compensation

• Base: $95k - $105k
• Equity: Participation in our equity award program.
