The Advanced Industrial Engineer, Product is responsible for optimizing complex manufacturing and operational systems through advanced analysis, design-for-manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies. This role goes beyond traditional industrial engineering by driving strategic initiatives, leading cross-functional projects, and deploying advanced tools to improve productivity, quality, cost, safety, and scalability. The role typically operates across multiple sites or programs and is expected to set methodology and standards that other Industrial Engineers follow.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 3-5+ years of Industrial or Operations Engineering

Travel: This is a remote role with travel to our Excellerate facilities up to 25% of the time.

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and optimize end-to-end manufacturing and operational processes for efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Lead advanced time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, throughput optimization, and simulation-based flow analysis to support data-driven decisions.
• Develop standard work, labor models, and ergonomic solutions for complex manufacturing environments.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints to identify and eliminate waste across operations.
• Create cost models, make-vs-buy analyses, and ROI justifications for capital and process investments.
• Influence product design through DFMA, tolerance analysis, error-proofing, and assembly feasibility studies.
• Lead NPI industrialization efforts, including production layouts, material flow, and ramp-up strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen events, KPI development, and cross-functional leadership.
• Champion safety and ergonomic compliance (OSHA and applicable ISO standards) in all process and layout designs.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
