Job Overview / Purpose Statement

Ads Specialists are responsible for executing advertising strategies, maintaining campaign quality, monitoring account performance, and developing the technical and analytical foundation required to grow into strategic roles.
This role is the foundation of the Paid Ads career path.
Ads Specialists are not expected to simply follow instructions. They should understand the purpose behind campaigns, identify observations, surface opportunities, and continuously develop the skills required to become future Ads Strategists.

Core Responsibilities

Campaign Implementation

Responsible for:
  • Building and updating campaigns.
  • Implementing approved advertising strategies.
  • Managing campaign changes, including budgets, targeting, creative updates, offers, and platform configurations.
  • Ensuring campaigns are launched accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintaining campaign organization and quality.
  • Implementing optimizations and strategy adjustments defined by the Ads Strategist.
Account Monitoring
Responsible for:

Reviewing campaign performance and account health.

Identifying unusual changes, trends, or potential issues.

Monitoring pacing, delivery, and campaign performance.

Escalating concerns that require additional strategic review.

Providing account context and observations to support strategic decisions.

Discussing relevant performance observations and account insights with the CSM.

CSM Partnership and Communication
Responsible for:
  • Communicating campaign execution updates.
  • Discussing performance observations and account insights.
  • Providing visibility into campaign changes and results.
  • Sharing implementation status and relevant account context.
  • Bringing forward questions, concerns, and opportunities identified through account monitoring.
Ads Specialists provide the account-level visibility required for effective strategy development.
Quality Control
Responsible for:
  • Verifying implementation accuracy.
  • Ensuring campaigns align with approved strategies.
  • Following established processes and standards.
  • Identifying execution gaps.
Development Responsibilities
Expected to:
  • Build platform expertise.
  • Learn advertising strategy fundamentals.
  • Develop analytical skills.
  • Understand dealership marketing objectives.
  • Identify opportunities and contribute ideas.
  • Develop the skills required for progression into Ads Strategist responsibilities.
Execution Accountability
Ads Specialists are accountable for:
  • Accurate campaign implementation.
  • Timely execution.
  • Campaign quality.
  • Maintaining account health through proper monitoring and execution.
  • Accurately implementing strategic adjustments and optimizations.
Ads Specialists are not accountable for independently defining overall advertising strategy but are expected to actively contribute observations and ideas.

Requirements

Preferred Experience & Competencies
  • Experience working with Google Ads, Meta Ads, or other digital advertising platforms.
  • Experience in automotive marketing or dealership environments preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in digital advertising, marketing, analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with campaign management, reporting, or performance analysis.
  • Experience working with data and analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to solve problems.
  • Experience collaborating in a team environment.
