Accounting Specialist (m/w/d)

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounting Specialist to join our growing team in Zagreb. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their accounting career who wants to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, international environment. You’ll work closely with experienced finance professionals, support daily accounting operations, and develop your skills in a collaborative and fast-paced setting. // Complete accounting management

// Monthly, quarterly yearly involvement in period closing activities

// General ledger postings

// Verifying, allocating and posting business transactions

// Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, including corporate income tax and sales tax returns.

// Maintain and update accounting records and files, both electronically and physically, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow

// Assist in financial audits, providing necessary documentation and support

// Assist in internal and external reporting activities

// Posting of incoming invoices and credit notes

// Contact person for the administration and sales departments for questions about creditor accounts and the accounting system used

​​​​​​​// Contribution to monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements such as: active prepaid expenses, provisions and support for auditors

Your foundation

​​​​​​​// Completed studies with a focus on finance and accounting

​​​​​​​// At least 1 years of professional experience in accounting (e.g. internship)

​​​​​​​// Young professional with a growth mindset and an interest in finance and accounting

​​​​​​​// Experience in reporting within a group corporation is an advantage

​​​​​​​// Experience in the financial services industry or as an auditor would be an advantage

​​​​​​​// Very good MS Office knowledge

​​​​​​​// Affinity with numbers, structured way of working

​​​​​​​// Team spirit and commitment

​​​​​​​// Fluent in English (spoken and written), German language skills would be an advantage
