Main Responsibilities

  • Compile and organize data provided by clients, such as invoices, receipts, and bank statements.
  • Record and manage financial transactions using QuickBooks (daily and advanced use).
  • Evaluate and analyze financial and operating reports and data.
  • Reconcile bank statements and implement actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Update, verify, and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other financial records.
  • Coordinate with the Tax Department and other business lines as necessary.
  • Comply with US GAAP and professional ethics standards.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Record business transactions and key daily worksheets to the general ledger system.
  • Ensure all service tickets reflect the correct and current status.
  • Perform accounting functions to support supervisors.
  • Submit accurate weekly timesheets.
  • Use and maintain updated task records in the corresponding technological tools (Canopy or others per IT instructions).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Lead a team of Junior Accountants when assigned, being responsible for their performance and development.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • GPA or General Average: ≥ 8.
  • Advanced and proven experience using QuickBooks (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on accounting experience (required).
  • Experience in Real Estate accounting and familiarity with AppFolio is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish.
