JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting III position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, safeguarding assets, processing day-to-day transactions, trust accounting, handling individual settlement accounts and daily activity, month-end closing, ERP, budget, and process improvements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Month-end closing, accruals, journal entries, etc. for various entities.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare Financial Statements
- Participate in year-end budget, tax reporting, and variance reporting.
- Participate in the annual Audit.
- Reconcile all bank accounts.
- Review credit card expense reports.
- Cash deposits and recording.
- Participate in ERP implementation and process improvements.
- Develop SOPs.
- Manage settlement accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Accounting Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience, including strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and full-cycle month-end closing processes.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
- Accounting & Business Systems: Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Salesforce, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat/PDF. Experience with ERP systems, including system implementations, process improvements, and workflow optimization, is required.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information accurately, listen effectively, and ask appropriate questions when clarification is needed.
- Remote Work: Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and utilize electronic communication tools and technology for meetings, collaboration, and day-to-day business activities.
- Following Direction: Ability to understand and follow instructions and respond accurately and effectively to management direction.
- Written Communication: Demonstrates excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, and professional writing style.
