Accounting Delivery Manager – Offshore Operations

An established U.S.-based professional services firm is looking for an Accounting Delivery Manager to oversee the performance and development of its Philippines-based accounting team.

This position combines accounting leadership, people management, quality control, workforce planning, and operational improvement. The ideal candidate has experience managing accounting professionals in a multi-client environment and understands the demands of delivering high-quality accounting services to U.S. businesses.

You will be responsible for ensuring the right people are assigned to the right engagements, accounting work meets quality expectations, and new team members have the training and support required to become productive quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting delivery across the Philippines team.
  
• Develop account-level staffing plans based on workload, deadlines, complexity, and client requirements.
  
• Monitor team utilization and identify opportunities to improve capacity without compromising quality.
  
• Review accounting deliverables and provide technical guidance when issues arise.
  
• Establish consistent review standards across recurring accounting processes.
  
• Create and maintain detailed SOPs, checklists, and process documentation.
  
• Lead technical interviews and participate in final hiring decisions for accounting positions.
  
• Develop structured onboarding and training plans for new hires.
  
• Coach team members and create opportunities for career development and advancement.
  
• Monitor team performance and identify retention risks.
  
• Act as the first escalation point for accounting and workflow concerns within the offshore team.
  
• Communicate recommendations, risks, and solutions clearly to U.S.-based leadership.
  
• Help build the infrastructure needed to scale the offshore accounting team.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a public accounting, CAS, or outsourced accounting environment.
  
• Previous experience as an Accounting Manager, Senior Manager, Controller, or similar leadership position.
  
• Experience managing a team of 15+ accounting professionals.
  
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  
• Experience supporting U.S.-based clients.
  
• Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and other core accounting processes.
  
• Proven experience hiring and interviewing accounting professionals.
  
• Experience developing employees through structured coaching or training programs.
  
• Ability to create clear, practical SOPs and process documentation.
  
• Strong organizational and capacity-planning skills.
  
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions without constant oversight.
  
• Willingness to work U.S.-overlapping hours.
  
• Philippines-based.
  
• CPA certification is an advantage.
