Manage end-to-end order processing and operational support for wholesale accounts in the Rockies/West territory. Act as the primary contact for dealers and Area Managers to ensure seamless execution from sell-in to sell-through.

At Burton, we are a purpose-led brand rooted in snowboarding and the outdoors. We fight for the future of our people, planet, and sport. We aim to maximize our positive social impact and minimize our negative environmental impact while delivering high-quality performance products.

As a global leader in snowboarding, we’re committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion for the long-term health of our company, sport, and community. Through these efforts, we aim to make snowboarding and the outdoors accessible to all.

The Breakdown:

As a member of Burton's Marketplaces Order Management team, the Account Specialist plays a behind-the-scenes role supporting an assigned portfolio of wholesale accounts across the Rockies/West territory — keeping those shops thriving. Snowboard shops are the lifeblood of the culture — they're where riders get their first board, where communities are built, and where the love of the sport lives. This role is responsible for delivering best-in-class service and operational support — managing orders end-to-end, deepening account relationships, driving cross-functional collaboration, transparent reporting, and strategic problem solving, all with the goal of seamless execution from sell-in through sell-through and increasing revenue across our North American marketplaces. If building real relationships and being the person shops and sales reps count on sounds like your kind of day — we'd love to hear from you. Success in this role requires a highly detail-oriented, proactive professional committed to continuous learning and process excellence.

What You Get to Do:

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for an assigned portfolio of wholesale accounts across the Rockies/West territory — partnering closely with Area Managers to support their accounts, onboard new dealers, and deliver consistent, high-quality service throughout the relationship.
  • Own end-to-end order management for the territory, including order entry in Elastic Suite and Infor M3, delivery creation, delivery window management, EDI processing (PO submissions, edits, net price updates, and error resolution), and terms auditing — with a strong emphasis on accuracy at every step.
  • Lead regular operational calls with accounts and Area Managers to review order status, address issues proactively, and keep communication timely and clear.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of sales programs, term sheets, special offerings, and compliance requirements — managing vendor compliance review, chargeback mitigation, and ensuring consistent application across accounts.
  • Partner with Area Managers and Territory Business Directors on preseason order submissions, seasonal planning, and end-of-season hindsight reviews — communicating proactively on any issues that could impact factory PO placements.
  • Monitor inventory risks and opportunities and leverage Power BI and Infor M3 to generate reporting across account performance, delivery metrics, and operational KPIs — translating data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Serve as a cross-functional connector with Logistics, Finance, Credit, and Order Management teams — owning escalation management, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring a seamless experience for accounts and Area Managers alike.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement by sharing feedback and insights that strengthen workflows, team best practices, and the overall account experience.

What You'll Bring to The Team:

Candidates should demonstrate the following experience, skills, and competencies:

  • 2+ years of experience in account management, wholesale operations, or customer service preferred; background in consumer goods, outdoor, or apparel industries a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience warmly considered.
  • Experience with Elastic Suite and Infor M3 (or a comparable ERP) preferred; functional EDI competency is a baseline expectation.
  • Excel fluency at an intermediate to advanced level is highly preferred — pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis are a regular part of this role.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus; comfortable working across the Microsoft 365 suite day-to-day (Outlook, Teams, Word, SharePoint).
  • Detail-oriented and proactive — someone who takes initiative, follows through, and is energized by keeping things organized and moving forward even when priorities shift.
  • Clear, timely communicator who can distill complex information into concise updates and build trust with accounts, Area Managers, and internal teams alike.
  • Genuine curiosity and a growth mindset — open to learning, adapting, and finding better ways to do things as the business evolves.
