2d Artist

Pine Creek Games is looking for a 2d Artist to join our studio as a contractor. We require experience working in at least one other game company, preferably a small indie studio like ours. You will become a part of a small team of around 9 members, where you will help with concepting and asset creation.

We are a fully remote company with no office, so you can work from where you want, within the required time zone, so we can still meet for daily syncs. We offer a friendly work environment and strive to make it a safe and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities:

• creating 2D art for an isometric game with heavily illustrative art style, working on both characters and environment
• bringing ideas to life from sketch to final assets, sometimes picking up other artist’s sketches for inking and coloring
• actively updating and managing your tasks statuses, uploading all files to the shared folders
• communicating with the team on calls and Slack
• implementing art assets in Unity

Must Haves:

• Central European Time Zone +-2
• 2+ years experience working in videogames in 2D art
• confident with inking and coloring
• good knowledge of perspective
• can match the project’s established art style
• good with both characters and environment, can switch between them
• can follow the art creation pipelines in tandem with the animators, planning ahead for smooth implementation
• Not using AI in their work

Nice To Haves:

• interest in comics and illustration mediums, in medieval and medieval fantasy (LOTR, old DnD) settings, in nature
• knowing Unity well enough to implement assets on the map if needed
