The Principal Software Systems Engineer will drive the development of customer satellite systems with a focus on flight software delivery throughout the full lifecycle. They will also perform systems engineering tasks, manage requirements, and support the spacecraft product roadmap.
Develop and upgrade spacecraft flight software throughout the full lifecycle from requirements to operations. Contribute to systems modeling, simulation tools, and mission concept development.
Develop and implement Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) designs for satellite systems, including sensors, actuators, and flight software. Support the full development lifecycle from requirements definition through operations and simulation development.
Sustain and enhance the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Common Ground System to support NOAA's Earth observation missions. Coordinate with stakeholders to define MVP requirements and lead verification testing for integrated software and hardware systems.
