Valentin Samorukov

I’m a Frontend Developer with more than 10 years of commercial experience, primarily focused on building complex web applications. My main stack is JavaScript/TypeScript and React, and I also have experience with React Native for mobile development. Over the years, I’ve worked on large production applications with complex business logic, state management, real-time data, authentication, navigation, forms, validation, and integrations with backend services. I’m comfortable working in mature codebases, developing new functionality, maintaining existing features, reviewing code, and investigating difficult production issues. Currently, I’m part of a team developing a trading platform for web and mobile. My day-to-day work is mostly frontend-focused and includes implementing new features, improving existing flows, fixing production issues, and working on application architecture and performance. A significant part of the product is real-time and state-heavy, so stability, predictable behavior, and avoiding regressions are particularly important. I prefer simple and maintainable solutions over unnecessary complexity. I’m comfortable discussing technical and architectural decisions with the team, refactoring existing code when needed, and digging into problems that behave differently across environments or only appear in production. I also pay attention to code quality and testing. Depending on the task, I use unit and E2E tests to reduce regression risks and make future changes safer. I have some backend experience as well, mainly with Node.js and NestJS. I’ve worked with backend services, APIs, integrations, databases, and infrastructure-related tasks when required, although backend development has been a smaller part of my experience compared to frontend.
