Tamar Gomes

I am a Brazilian-qualified lawyer with over 3 years of experience in international law, cross-border family law, legal research, legal drafting, and client advisory. I currently work as an independent Legal Consultant, supporting matters involving international divorces, marriages, family agreements, immigration-related issues, and recognition of foreign judgments. My experience includes researching legislation, case law, international conventions, and procedural requirements; drafting and reviewing petitions, agreements, contracts, legal opinions, and extrajudicial notices; analyzing complex case files; and managing deadlines and client communications independently. Previously, I worked at an international law firm in Brazil, where I handled cross-border matters and participated in foreign judgment recognition proceedings before Brazil’s Superior Court of Justice (STJ). I also supervised a legal intern, reviewing research and legal drafting, and worked as a Legal Advisor in the public sector, preparing legal opinions, technical notes, and regulatory analyses. I am fluent in Portuguese and English and also work in Spanish and French. I am now looking for a fully remote international role in Legal, Legal Operations, Contracts, Compliance, Global Mobility, or a related field where I can combine legal analysis, writing, cross-border experience, and multilingual communication.
