I run a business designing and maintaining custom planters for local businesses. I earned a degree in horticulture in 2013, spent 2016-2024 as a freelancer in the horticulture industry, and recently decided to take my skills back outside. As a freelancer, I built a writing agency from myself as a one-man-show to an agency of seven people. I managed the writing contracts and secured business, and I had five writers and an editor. I focused on the jobs that I enjoyed, like writing a book, becoming a data architect for an app, and writing textbook chapters for market growers. I grew our revenue to nearly $10k/month during Covid, but when ChatGPT became popular, many clients turned to chatbots for content. Currently, my container business only takes one day per week to maintain, which leaves me plenty of time to work. I just graduated with my Bachelor's in accounting, and I start my Master's in December. I would like a remote role that helps me prepare for working as a CPA since I plan to take my exams in 2027.
