Financial Analyst
I’m a Financial Analyst based in Riga, Latvia, with 2+ years of analytical experience across corporate finance, business research and digital assets. I currently work in a Planning & Economic Department, where I support budgeting, budget control, variance analysis and recurring financial processes, working with revenue, costs, margins, cash collections, receivables and ERP data. I’m now looking for a remote role where finance is at the core of the business or function. My main interests are FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, fintech and payments, with a longer-term interest in investment-related finance. I want to work in an environment where I can understand how a business makes money, analyze what drives performance and use financial information to support better decisions. My strongest practical tool is Excel. I work with recurring financial models, reconciliations, data validation, complex formulas, pivots and automated checks. I have performed plan-vs-actual analysis, investigated variance drivers, supported budgeting processes and improved recurring calculations to reduce manual work and input risk. I’m also comfortable with ERP/EDMS workflows and frequently use AI tools to accelerate research, analysis and process improvement while validating the output myself. Before moving closer to finance, I worked in research roles where I analyzed unfamiliar businesses and markets, reconstructed complex analytical logic and screened 30-40 early-stage Web3 projects. That experience taught me to work with incomplete information, question assumptions and turn fragmented data into clear conclusions. I work well remotely, take ownership of problems and tend to look beyond the immediate task to understand the underlying logic and improve the process. I’m looking for a team where I can contribute this combination of financial discipline, analytical curiosity and structured problem-solving while continuing to grow deeper into finance.
