Technical lead on Sky's Interactive TV iSales enabled 11+ million users to upgrade without the need for costly customer service calls. Designed and built a full stack for Freeview Channel Zero. Client-side UI framework, apps through to content aggregation and visual development and deployment tools. Takes the initiative, innovations include: Designing a cross-platform messaging protocol for Interactive TV - which added a key technology to the company patent portfolio helping secure multi-million pound VC funding. Devising a compression scheme for dictionaries achieving a 50% size reduction and word validation without decompression, enabling games that Sky STBs couldn't otherwise run. Building remote testing infrastructure on Raspberry Pi with NGINX, integrating webcams, maintaining Sky’s ability to release Q updates during COVID. Having built several teams around Agile, SOLID, CI, automated testing and achieving 50% reusable components on a new codebase.
