Developed and structured a 90 minute interactive educational workshop exploring the evolving role of medical writers in health literacy, misinformation and AI. Created the session proposal, learning outcomes, agenda, audience strategy and interactive exercise, translating complex communication concepts into an accessible educational format. This project required researching the relationship between scientific accuracy, public understanding, health literacy and audience needs, while considering how medical writers can communicate evidence effectively across different professional and public audiences. Designed an individual workshop activity requiring participants to adapt the same scientific evidence for different audiences, including patients, healthcare professionals, policy makers and public facing communication channels. The session was developed for professional medical audience and structured to encourage critical thinking around accessibility, trust, uncertainty and responsible health communication. The completed proposal and session materials were submitted to the European Medical Writers Association for its 62nd Conference and accepted as a 90 minute conference session.
