Legal governance and development practitioner with over 6 years of experience driving systemic reform through public interest litigation, policy research and institutional strengthening in education, land rights and fiscal transparency across South Africa. Secured two High Court orders compelling provincial government to provide scholar transport to qualifying learners, co-authored a published four-province research report on foundation phase literacy that surveyed 39 schools and documented implementation failures in national reading interventions, and coordinated seven (7) programme budgets exceeding R5 million across a five-year donor funding cycle (Elma Foundation, Open Society Foundation, Ford Foundation). Track record of translating constitutional rights into measurable outcomes: filed various PAIA requests and demand letters to the Minister of Basic Education and the Presidency to obtain school infrastructure compliance data, co-authored a research report with international law firm Dechert LLP documenting farmworker equity scheme failures and the Vance Center regarding sextortion desktop research, facilitated 30+ community and school workshops reaching farmworkers, learners and parents across six provinces and collaborated in drafting and submitting 10+ written submissions to National Assembly and NCOP committees (Parliamentary Monitoring) on education, land reform and budget policy. Served as LRC representative to the Imali Yethu civil society coalition working with National Treasury on the Vulekamali open budget portal, where budget monitoring analysis identified discrepancies in education and land allocations and fed directly into parliamentary budget submissions and litigation strategy. Board Secretary and Governance Lead for an education NPC serving 200 vulnerable learners and advisory committee member and student mentor supporting 40 law students.
