Nimrat Randhawa

I'm an MTech Computer Science student at IIIT Bhubaneswar, transitioning into software and ML roles after a background in Electronics via GATE. My core strengths lie in Data Structures & Algorithms, Machine Learning, and C++, which I've applied across both applied ML and systems-oriented projects. Recent work includes an AI-driven security threat triage pipeline built on the CIC-IDS2017 dataset — featuring gradient boosting classification, SHAP-based explainability, and alert correlation logic — as well as a cloud load-balancing simulator implementing the Rock Hyrax Optimization algorithm and benchmarking it against established metaheuristics. I enjoy translating research papers into working systems and am currently focused on building a strong ML/AI portfolio ahead of campus placements.
