The nerves on that Monday morning - day 1 - sitting down at a desk, nowhere to hide, a small company of 30 people, being a complete outsider, just thrown into fast-paced demands of EU-funded projects. I know what it’s like to be at Amsterdam Schiphol, waiting to board a flight to Kigali and the range of thoughts and emotions running through your body as you approach 7+ months of the unknown in rural Rwanda - away from family, friends and everything familiar - motivated by a love of sport and a curiosity for the world.
