Mathibe Tsepetsi

I’m a finance manager and controller with over 13 years in accounting, from bookkeeper to 9 years as Financial Manager of a multi-branch, multi-entity group, reporting directly to the CEO and CFO. I own the full finance cycle: transaction processing, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, month-end close, management accounts, AFS-level financial statements, audit files, budgeting, cash flow and tax compliance. I work daily in QuickBooks Online and Xero (L1 Associate certified), used Acumatica Cloud ERP as a super-user for 9 years, and prepare financial statements in Draftworx. Two results I’m proud of: I reduced the debtor collection cycle from about 120 days to about 30 days by rebuilding credit control. I designed a three-way check between fleet tracking data, the sales ledger and physical stock that stopped revenue leakage across branches. Since 2022 I have also run my own practice, Tshepang Tsunade Consulting, keeping books through to management accounts for SME clients, including businesses with US-based stakeholders. I work in IFRS and am fluent in US GAAP terminology, including ASC 606. Next, I’m looking for a remote Controller, Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant role, full-time or contract, where I can own the close, tighten controls and give leadership numbers they can trust. I’m based in South Africa and available for US or UK business hours.
