I'm a Design Engineer: a brand designer who also ships production front-end code. For 8+ years at Balsamiq (the SaaS wireframing tool), I owned brand and visual design across web, email, events, and the product's visual and illustration layer, and built it in HTML/CSS/JS in a real production codebase. I also partnered with the product team on design when they needed it, like the onboarding flow. A few things I've shipped: - I led a full rebrand of balsamiq.com (design + front-end build) → +40% free-trial sign-ups - I ran lifecycle email campaigns and experiments in Customer.io - I kept brand and product visually consistent with reusable components and shared styles What I am best at: brand identity, UI design, and front-end development, plus keeping a product visually consistent with reusable components, with hand lettering and illustration when a brand needs real personality. I work in Figma and in code, and I'm most useful on small, in-house product teams where design and engineering sit close together. I am currently relocating to Munich and open to brand, design-engineer, and product-focused design roles, remote-first or Munich-based, English-speaking teams (German in progress).
