Business Analyst
Every organisation pays for uncertainty. Sometimes that cost appears as declining profitability, operational inefficiencies or missed opportunities. Sometimes it is paid more quietly through delayed decisions, assumptions that remain untested or opportunities that are never recognised. My work begins by reducing that uncertainty. I believe analytics is not the production of reports. It is the disciplined search for understanding that transforms uncertainty into actionable insight, enabling decision makers to move organisations forward with confidence. My approach is to understand the business before the data, identify the relationships that drive performance, distinguish symptoms from underlying causes and validate conclusions through evidence. Whether working with Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python or R, the objective remains the same: provide insight that supports better judgement and practical action. My experience spans operational management, financial analysis, business intelligence and technical documentation. Alongside my professional career, I continue to build an evidence-based portfolio of analytical projects, technical documentation and published writing exploring analytics, artificial intelligence, recruitment systems and organisational decision-making. I believe good analysis should be transparent, reproducible and understandable. A report has value only if it improves understanding. A dashboard has value only if it enables better decisions. Technology changes. Evidence endures. Judgement creates value.
