Over the past nine years, I have worked across platform engineering in primarily Azure environments, helping teams build systems that are reliable, scalable, and genuinely pleasant to work with. Throughout that time, I have come to believe that the best infrastructure is the kind people barely notice because it simply works. In my most recent role at Capital on Tap, I had the privilege of leading the formation of our Platform and SRE teams. A significant part of that work involved guiding the company’s migration to Kubernetes, collaborating closely with developers, QA, and security throughout. For me, the measure of success was never just whether the technology was in place, but whether the people using it felt confident and understood how it made their day-to-day work better. Prior to that, as a Lead DevOps Engineer, I focused on strengthening our edge security posture with Cloudflare and introducing serverless patterns to give teams greater flexibility. Across every role I have held, my priority has been to simplify where possible, automate thoughtfully, and create the conditions for teams to move with confidence — without compromising on reliability or quality. What I find most rewarding about this work is the mix of technical problem-solving and people. I have always been drawn to the human side of engineering understanding how teams think, what slows them down, and how the right platform decisions can meaningfully change how people experience their work. The best platforms are not simply well-architected; they are the ones that teams genuinely want to use.
