My 12+ years in regulated financial services taught me how to work in environments where accuracy and confidentiality are crucial. At Northwestern Mutual, I conducted daily reviews of new business reports for compensation errors, catching a $35K discrepancy during one review. I logged every error into a custom Excel system I built, designed to track corrections through to completion and identify recurring patterns. I'm used to managing large client databases, processing payments, reconciling transactions, and coordinating across teams to catch issues before they become problems. I recently earned my Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential through the AAPC and am launching my career in medical billing. I'm focused on roles involving claims submission, payment posting, and denial and appeals resolution. I have a working knowledge of the revenue cycle, CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS coding fundamentals, payer guidelines, and HIPAA compliance.
