Jerry Shang

Senior software engineer with 20+ years of experience in Java backend, Kotlin Android, system architecture and technical leadership. I design and implement systems hands-on and lead teams through product delivery, bringing a product perspective from entrepreneurship and client work. I led planning and architecture for UCWeb's big data platform, processing terabytes daily and supporting hundreds of games. I later built an enterprise big data platform through my own startup, used in multiple government data governance projects. For a low-code platform, I led architecture design and the transition to Java microservices, and implemented core services for reactive data queries, configuration management, and multi-tenant authentication and access control. For a hardware startup, I independently designed and developed the software spanning device software, a Kotlin Android client and a React cloud platform, with SDK integration, local analysis and cloud synchronization. I am based in China and seeking fully remote senior or lead software engineering opportunities in Java backend or Android development.
