English Communication Specialist
Dear Hiring Manager: I am writing to express my interest in a Communication Specialist position with your organization. My multidisciplinary background spans writing, editing, education, professional training, and cross-cultural communication, with one consistent focus: helping people communicate ideas clearly and effectively. As a writer and editor, I have researched, written, edited, and refined articles, educational resources, professional documents, training materials, academic manuscripts, books, and specialized content. Much of my editing involves transforming complex, poorly structured, or overly technical material into clear, natural English while preserving the writer’s meaning and voice. Communication is also central to my teaching and training work. I currently teach undergraduate English Composition to international students and help professionals communicate effectively in meetings, presentations, interviews, and other workplace situations. Earlier roles included training English-language instructors, managing employee training and internal communications, and managing an intensive English communication program for Samsung Electro-Mechanics personnel in South Korea. My communication background began in the U.S. Air Force, where I translated complex technical orders, regulations, and guidance into practical instruction, training materials, SOPs, and assessments. Across these varied roles, the underlying work has remained consistent: understand the subject, understand the audience, and find the clearest way to connect the two. I would welcome the opportunity to bring this experience to your organization. Thank you for considering my application.
